I'm very behind on preserving memories from certain trips and events and almost decided to just move on without posting, that it would be too hard to catch up. But then I convinced myself that these little trips and time spent with family and friends are so special, and worth capturing for Jacob to read about and experience again when he's older.
On Saint Patrick's Day weekend, we took a trip to the Lake. The Lake is Lake LBJ in Horseshoe Bay where Jim's parents, Nana & Papa, live. And it is where Jim's boyhood heart resides. It is his dream that Jacob will grow up loving it as much as he does, enjoying simple yet magically carefree times with family.
This was Jacob's second visit to the lake house, but since he was only 8 weeks old the first time, this was his first visit as an alert, exploratory infant, no longer a sleepy-eyed newborn. It was extra special since Jacob got to see two of his
great-grandmothers in the same weekend! We had a great time!!
